As requested here is a little bit about the mid shift mod for the distortion channel. I also added a bass shift just because I had the switch and parts and nothing better to do. Remove C79 (C78 also if doing Bass shift.) Replace with wires. I added a little hot glue to keep the wires in place so they wouldnt move and possibly bread a solder joint. I installed a 6 position rotary for the mid and a 4 position rotary for the bass. To keep things looking neat I made a small circuit board for all the capacitors. You could also just solder the caps right to the switches. Here is with everything all wired up. Front view: You can see on the right hand side the two new controls. The eq knobs still work normally. The new controls just change what value capacitor is in the eq circuit.

I had one somewhere.....see if i can find it. Someone commented that it sounded like putting and eq in the fx loop.
