Hello! I just picked up an avt412 cabinet. I have the avt50 112 combo that only has one speaker jack on the back. Question? any way to wire this so I can still use the speaker in the combo as well as the 412 cab? Seems a waist to not use it... The cab is 8 ohms and the combo speaker is 4 ohms...
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Cant you just add another speaker jack in parallel?

looks like it...I found on the board there is an empty place for what appears to be another speaker out jack.
Just so I have this completely clear:
If parallel you add up the speakers ohms and divide by number of speakers, correct?
So in my case I have a 412 cab @ 8ohm + the stock 4ohm speaker in the combo. 8 ohm + 4 ohm =12 ohm/2 = 6 ohm total. In which case I am safe because it is more than 4 ohm. Am I correct ?
Thanks!

8 ohm and 4 ohm in parallel would be 2.67 ohms.

good thing I asked! :] ohms confuse me -obviously. Thanks Fixr... Here is my plan then: I'm going to put a 8 ohm vintage 30 in the combo. Then I would be at 4 ohm, right?

Yes, an 8 ohm in parallel with another 8 ohm would be 4 ohms.

Glad you like the speaker choice. Yes the connector will work, however i would be worried that its not for a speaker application. For a speaker connection you always want to have speaker cable where both conductors are the same size unlike an instrument/audio cable where the center conductor is smaller that the outer.
